The trail in this section followed waterways: It shadowed the Aulne river on day 12, then ran along the Nantes–Brest Canal on days 13–15, and finally skirted an artificial lake on days 16 and 17. I love being near water; these days were peaceful, and not at all strenuous until the final two days.
