Complicity

Every day — every hour — that congressional Republicans silently condone the shitshow that is the Trump administration tells us two things:

• They are willing to endanger the constitution, and the nation itself, to enact their agenda.
• They know their agenda is unpopular, because they clearly can’t wait for the next president — or even the next congress — to enact it.

And this is a self-fulfilling prophecy: as they continue to support this administration in hopes of enacting their agenda, voters are more and more likely to turn them out in 2018.
