One-sentence reviews of “Superman Returns”

• Marlon Brando is God.
• I want to watch it again to see if I can identify the Stations of the Cross.

In all seriousness, and not being a huge comic book nut, I enjoyed it. I saw the 3D presentation at IMAX, which I’m more ambivalent about. When it worked, it was pretty cool. But when something was “near”, my eyes started to hurt from trying to focus on it. What I should have done (Brian pointed out after the movie) was close one eye; knowing that, I can recommend the IMAX version with a clean conscience.
